Lewis and Van Vleet, Inc. was established in 1997 by Gary J. Lewis and Chris C. Van Vleet and specializes in providing civil and structural consulting services to architects, contractors and developers.  Prior to forming the firm, both Mr. Lewis and Mr. Van Vleet worked together as associates with another Portland, Oregon engineering firm for a number of years.  They have also both worked for companies producing proprietary construction products.  Together, they have a combined 37 years experience in the structural engineering field and have worked together since 1985.

                                                                                                                                                          

At Lewis and Van Vleet, we take pride in producing designs and solutions which are efficient, and take into consideration our clients budgets without compromising safety and serviceability.  Our construction documents are produced in Autocad format, thus providing the ability to share drawing files with clients and avoiding duplication of labor.  With our considerable construction experience, we understand that there is usually more than one solution to a design problem and welcome input from other members of the design team in determining the most practical and economical solution for our clients.
